Most people set intentions in a state of something happening in the future. However, I set my intentions in a way where I’ve already received them.

Whenever I set clear intentions, I almost ALWAYS hit them. When I don’t, though… I rarely hit them.

REALITY:
•    Be CLEAR with your intentions
•    Remember: set. intentions.

We avoid asking for what we want because we’re AFRAID it might not happen, or we don’t deserve it. When you’re manifesting something, WORK ON IT. Don’t worry about how something will happen, but KEEP working on what you want.

• If you ask for something vague, you’ll GET a vague outcome!
• Make your intentions clear

Let’s say you want to make $2 million next year. If you sit down and do the math of WHAT you NEED to do, you WON’T do it. The plan just WON’T work. The purpose of that plan is getting the plan out, NOT following your true purpose. If you want to make the money you want to make – you won’t create it by following a plan. You might make SOME money. But you won’t create true wealth.

• If you’re a soulless zombie, and all you want is money: then join the “jobs world”
• IF you believe you have a message to share, then CREATE from the heart
• FOCUS on doing the TRUE work
• Focus on your VISION... and not the numbers

Let go of what people expect from you, and start HONESTLY SHARING what you do, what you BELIEVE IN, and how you overcome your problems. People WILL listen.

• When you look outside of yourself for the answers, it’s not WHO you are.
• Whenever you’re figuring out what to sell, look within. YOU have all the answers.
• FUCK niching. Be YOU

• Take control of your morning
• Do you let your to-do list dictate who you are? 
• Take care of yourself (physically and emotionally) within the first hour of waking up
• Wake yourself up physically when you’ve taken care of yourself (coffee!?)

The cool thing about being a super high achiever and wanting to get A LOT of shit done, you can REALLY play fun tricks on yourself.

Make it easy – make money. Make it easy – get hard rock abs. Don’t get me wrong, this ALL takes SERIOUSLY HARD WORK. It’s not about WHAT you need to do to get what you want, it’s about WHO you are.

If you’re someone who takes care of themselves, working out will be EASY for you. If you’re someone who knows 100% what they want, working will be EASY!

So the best thing to do if we want to achieve massive amounts of success – and rather than making MASSIVE fucking to-do lists, of all this stuff “we’ve gotta do,” start to IMPLEMENT some daily activities into your life.

Daily sales, admin, emails, social media, anything DAILY.. make it a habit. If you ask “how can I make this automated,” your life will become SO MUCH EASIER.

I struggle sometimes, I have my resistance, but it’s SO MUCH EASIER because I’ve TRAINED myself to make everything automated. It still takes time and effort,

• When you first start a new habit, it’ll be DIFFICULT
• Training takes CONSISTENCY
• Train yourself to do ONE new thing per day
• Be the person you want to be.
• Find ways to make these habits into who you are

EXERCISE:
What are the things you want to commit to daily? How can you turn it into a habit? How can you DISCIPLINE yourself into turning these things into habits?

I’m disciplined with my training. I do it regardless if people are around or not. And I like being seen as successful (who doesn’t?)!

This discipline I’ve created started when my first born was just a baby – no one was around, my husband Enzo was off working, and I couldn’t get to the gym. I used a swing set in a backyard, and a kettlebell.. and I STILL worked my ass off.

Why?

BECAUSE I WANTED THE RESULT.

As a solo entrepreneur – I have to DO the work to get the SUCCESS I want. There’s no boss who has to tell me what to do. It’s just massive DISCIPLINE and an AMAZING support network around me.

I’m proud to say I can do the work regardless if people are around me or not.

• Are you tapped into your “Why”?
• If you’re not connected to your vision EVERY DAY, then why are you doing this?
• No one is forcing you to do anything. So CHOOSE what you want to do!

EXERCISE:
If you’re struggling to show up and do the work, then maybe just take some time and REMIND yourself of your goals. WHY do they matter to you?

Find a journal, and write down your top THREE goals. WHY do you want them? How will you FEEL when you accomplish them?

I’m at a hotel here in Bali, I ALWAYS stay at the W. This time, though, I had a gift voucher to use for another hotel. It was expiring soon, so I figured I’d use it.

It’s a pretty good hotel. But I’m not over the moon about it.. and it’s interesting: You get what you pay for! The small little things are REALLY pissing me off here: the wifi wouldn’t work. The feel of the hotel isn’t the 5-star feel I’m used to. There were no sweat towels in the gym. It was all these little things that I’m not used to.

The hotel isn’t the W. It’s not what I’m ACCUSTOMED to.

It’s just so noticeable: you get what you pay for. If I want to feel luxurious, I have to PAY for it. It’s the same in business.

Anything that matters to you, if you go for the cheaper option, you’ll probably notice the difference.

• You don’t always have to pay for the most expensive thing
• Have a think about what outcome you want
• Is it worth upgrading to the luxury option?

EXERCISE:
Think about the last time you went for the less-expensive option of something in your business. Did you end up spending MORE money later on that EXACT same thing?

Have a think about something you REALLY want, or need to get, and think about what would happen if you bought the upgraded option?

I recently had a new client come into my 12-month mastermind, and she wasn’t getting the response she so desperately wanted from her branding. So I gave her some tips and suggestions on how she could repackage her offers.

Since then, she’s made 4 new sales already! And it was just like, wow – it’s SO important to speak in a language your clients listen to. See the way she was branding her packages – she wasn’t speaking her audience’s language. That’s exactly why there were NO sales.

One of my recent blog posts was about getting from where you are now to where you want to be. I called it “Stop trying to fuck on the first date!”

Had I called it “How to get from where you are to where you want to be” – NO ONE would’ve cared. I was SPEAKING the language that my tribe - my AUDIENCE – speaks.

Allow your audience to learn what they need to learn. And remember, don’t try to change how your audience speaks. You just have to change how YOU speak. Don’t speak Japanese to someone who only speaks English!

• Don’t try to change how your audience speaks
• Honour your audience’s journey
• Remember: your audience is on the same journey as you, but no where NEAR where you are today

EXERCISE
How can you speak to your community in the language they understand? What sales material can you tweak so your audience can UNDERSTAND you?

If you don’t have an offer, look over your free content and ask yourself “is this how my tribe speaks?” If it isn’t, start LISTENING to your tribe, and ASK them how they speak!

There are SO many people who live AMAZING lives, and create AMAZING businesses… but there are SO MANY PEOPLE who don’t ever admit to themselves what they TRULY desire.

I truly believe we can have it all – but we HAVE to define what that means. To me, I’ve wanted to be location free, having a multi-million dollar business, changing millions of people’s lives – BUT that’s just what I want.

With everything I’ve ever created, it’s a result of being honest with myself and ADMITTING what I want.

Because that can be SCARY. Maybe you’ve been through uni, and have this degree but deep down you want to do something COMPLETELY courageous.

If that’s you – if you want to do something COMPLETELY different – admit to yourself EXACTLY what you want.
Because the time to be honest to yourself isn’t tomorrow, or a year from now, it’s today.

• Be honest with yourself with what you want
• What does “having it all” mean to you?
• How can you get everything you’ve EVER wanted?

EXERCISE
Write down the question “If I were completely courageous, I would do ______.” Answer that as MANY times as you can.

I was on an interesting call with a client today – her branding is around empowerment. And she wanted some help with some of her mental blocks: “What are people going to think?”

Here’s the thing: people are ALWAYS going to think something of you. You CANNOT allow your dreams to be limited by someone else’s judgements.

You NEED to believe in your dreams and put yourself out there, or you might as well just GIVE UP NOW. We need to go ALL IN.

The big thing when it comes to other people’s opinions is we’re SCARED they’ll see our downfalls.. my slogan is “life is now, press play” – and if someone asked if I ‘press play’ in ALL areas of my business and life, I’d say NO! BUT.

WE’RE HUMAN. We have pitfalls. We ALL have fears. Look at your true, deep desire, and FIGURE OUT how to get your desire. OTHERWISE you’ll just be saying “I can have it all,” but if you’re not LISTENING to your heart, you probably won’t be able to get it.

• Start to be aware about what you say you believe, vs. what you DO believe
• Listen to your inner voice, your heart.
• What are your core beliefs?

EXERCISE
When you think about something you REALLY want to do, and you’re holding back, what’s your fear? Are you scared of people leaving your life? People laughing at you?

Write that down. Identify your 3 core beliefs, and look at 3 parts of your life where you’re not living those beliefs.

If you’re a creative type, a high level creator, someone who has a lot of ideas, then it’s CRITICAL and vital you give yourself time and space to create.

Lately, I’ve been having this tug of war with myself between giving myself space to plan, and ALLOWING myself to be a mad-crazy creator.

Sometimes though, being a mad creator clashes with needing to plan. I’ve built a million dollar business on just CREATING and hustling. But lately, I haven’t given myself permission to EXPRESS what I need to. Sure, I’ve been writing posts and blogging, but what’s missing for me has been a few pockets of space where there’s no agenda – just me, my journal, a coffee (duh), and allowing myself to just… express.

I wasn’t letting myself just MEANDER.

And as a creator, creators ‘gotta meander. Walk around, visit each bookstore, go to a cafe – just letting life flow.

Revolutionaries, leaders, creators just need the space to BE creative!

• Allow yourself to have creative expression
• Give yourself a few times a week where you don’t have an agenda – you just do whatever you want to do
• Give yourself SPACE to explore!

EXERCISE
Do you need to give yourself space? If it’s not space, sit down and journal whatever you need to do. Allow yourself to write down anything!

When was the last time you let yourself meander?

When can you LET yourself meander, and create, with NO agenda? Find an afternoon this week, and SCHEDULE IT IN.

I want to have a bit of a chat about less being not more. It's AGAINST what everyone thinks about. What if you're like me and wanting to expand more, to be multi-passionate, to DO MORE? What if your messages means expressing it in multiple ways?

What I'm realising lately is that something's missing. I worked out, I worked on the projects for my business, I wrote more of my book – and it was only 4pm. I was by the pool, and thought: my social life is missing. I'm in Bali right now, so most of my friends are stuck out of Bali with this ash cloud. I thought... when was the last time I had something random, exciting, terrifying and NEW to work on?

Back when I was a personal trainer, I used to have idea storming meetings, or CREATION MEETINGS with friends – let's create a chocolate company! let's open a gym! – and even though most of the ideas didn't come to fruition, the purpose was unleashing the energy of being CREATIVE and DARING.

Most people say relax, and slow down – I say stand the FUCK UP and DO MORE! To me, why would I live a life where I would just relax – if I could live a life that excites me?

• Do something new – something that brings you joy
• Listen to your heart, follow the sense of joy
• Why not do something that's fun?
• Do you want extra, free time – or do you want to do more exciting, fun things?

EXERCISE:

Write down the last time you did something just for the fun of it. When was it? Days ago? Weeks, years ago? What was it?

Write down – BRAINSTORM if you have to – something you could do for fun, something that will enlighten you. Write down the next 3 steps you MUST take today to start.

Some people feel that this is the most ANNOYING thing I can do – but it is the BEST stress reliever… in business when something falls through, when your reputation feels threatened, in travel when you think you’re going to miss a flight, when stuff happens in your personal life (your kids break something), or just in general, when shit happens, I say to myself:

“It is what it is. I can’t do anything about it.”

And it drives my husband CRAZY.

A week ago, my husband and kids were supposed to leave Bali – but they didn’t. They missed the flight because of the ginormous ash cloud. And all I could think was “it is what it is.”

There’s no point me losing stressing over “what if.” “What if we miss the flight?” “What if the flight gets cancelled again?”

In business, when I start to feel “what ifs,” coming – I say to myself “it is what it is.”

In ANY entrepreneur’s toolbox, it’s a CRITICAL tool to have in your toolbox. See sometimes, shit just happens regardless. And if you can accept whatever happens – it is what it is – and if you’ve done everything in your control, then just surrender.

Surrender and move on.

I speak to a lot who hyperventilate through their entire life: “what happens if this happens, what happens if someone says this?”

Just SURRENDER. It is what it is. Sometimes shit happens that’s beyond our control.

A lot of this comes down to recognizing the difference between knowing where you should spend your time, versus situations that are out of your control, versus situations where you just need to MAKE A DECISION.

• If you can’t make decisions quickly and swiftly, you shouldn’t be in business.
• Move quickly, with focus
• Surrender, and let it all flow
• It is what it is
• You have the power to choose who are

EXERCISE:
Think about the latest thing you’ve gone “what if” about. Did that what if come true? Or was it just your mind creating a fear? What decision could you have made instead of convincing yourself “what if”?
 
Now, think about something you have to make a decision on today. Make the decision. Move on.

What if you JUST DID THIS?!

I’ve just had an AMAZING three day retreat with some of my amazing clients. What came up today was.. what if you just ASK for what you want?

We could save SO MUCH ENERGY in ALL areas of our life if we JUST asked for what we want! I love all the ins-and-outs of online marketing, it all makes a difference, but in some ways, it just COMPLICATES things in an unnecessary way.

Sometimes it’s a lot more effective if you just straight up tell people what you want them to do, and why they should do it! The countless time, money and energy you’d save is COUNTLESS!

Food for thought.
• Stop trying to place it sneaky.
• Just say the outcome you want, and what you’re willing to give in return
• Go through the discomfort of asking what you want
• Don’t feel selfish asking!


EXERCISE:
What is the last thing you wanted to ASK for, but you didn’t, because of how UNCOMFORTABLE it felt?

Right now, what’s ONE thing you want – and what can you do to ask for it? Write that down, and take action!

I've realized I've been lying about how much I work. I say I work 4 hours a day – 25 hours a week. But really, is that true?

I won't say I've been lying, but with everything I do – admin, emails, sales activities, content creation, I DO work about 4 hours a day.

But a few years ago, I decided and started to believe that I COULD make A LOT of money and a helluva impact through doing what I love – writing, speaking, putting myself out there. And that belief has come TRUE.

A lot of the stuff I do you could classify as "work," but to me – it's more than that. It's a ritual.I don't remember half of the "work" I do!

When I get up – I spent 30 mins as journalling. But that's not "work," right?

Then there's my writing – I spend AT LEAST 1- 2 horus a day on writing. So that's at least 6 and a half hours a day "working." For me, my writing is how I grow my tribe – if I don't write, I DON'T SELL!

Then there's filming videos, Periscoping, reading – I DON'T consider that work. That's at least another 45 minutes / 1 hour a day. 7.5 hours every day.

THEN there's working out. That's not work either – BUT I get ideas when I'm in the middle of a workout. It clears my mind – it's my MEDITATION. Another 30 minutes of work!

There's 8 hours every day.

My day and schedule ALWAYS changes. All of this might not be w"work," but IT ALWAYS ADDS UP. It always ties in. And that's what matters.
• Work doesn't stop after admin, emails, or sales activities
• Being an entrepreneur is a LIFESTYLE
• When you love what you do, it's not a clock-in-clock-out job, it's much more than that

EXERCISE
What can you DECIDE to have in your life that you'd be able to call 'work'? What would YOU like your day to be made up of, and therefore be able to call 'work'?

I've been on calls all morning. And all morning there's been this theme in each call: the women have ALL been taking CONSISTENT APPLIED ACTION!! Actions that build their business, their relationships – THEIR LIFE.

And it's an UNUSUAL THING!

Why?

Regardless of how much money someone makes, or where they're at in their business, the biggest block in people is they DON'T TAKE CONSISTENT FUCKING ACTION!

Consistency is interesting. Because it's everything.

Regardless of where everyone is in their life – the same struggles will sometimes appear.

Now, regardless of the amount of action you take  – you can ALWAYS do more. DUH! It's life, honey. You can ALWAYS do more. Consistency is the ONLY THING that could "guarantee" success.

Because CONSISTENCY IS YOU SHOWING UP.

Here's the cool thing about taking consistent action:

If I was looking at everything that's happening in my life at a day-to-day basis, I'd be a mess.

Because some days... you don't make any sales. Most days you don't finish your task list. Most day, you feel like you COULD do more.

And that's all on a good day.

A bad day is where nothing seems to work. But here's the thing: consistency is about showing up AND doing the work.

You CAN show up – but without the fucking work, you aren't being consistent. When you show up and work – miracles happen.

For me, I have things I HAVE to do each day: my writing, calls, 2 hours a day on my business. I create everyday. I make sure I spend time with my kids. Because for me – I'll ALWAYS find a way to do what I HAVE to do, and so will you.

• Improvement is a never ending process
• Some days you'll get results, and some days you won't
• Success is about showing up AND doing the work

EXERCISE:
Identify the top 2 activities in your business, that if you applied consistent action to, a year from now, would transform who you are.

I did something that was what I thought was seriously obvious. I had posted my latest blog post in my free Facebook group, and we’ve been doing a free 30-day video series on content creation.

I shared openly that the post just didn't FEEL right. I asked my Tribe what they thought. To me, it was an obvious question.. don’t be a perfectionist, right?

I got a HEAP of comments – edit some text here, remove some capitals there – and not many people really got the joke to the post. The point of the post was publishing WITHOUT second guessing yourself. Get it?!

See, your opinion about my work (or ANYONE’S work for that matter) matters. But not as much as my own. As a creator, an artist, that’s how it should be. For me, for YOU for ANY-FUCKING-ONE!

On that particular post, there was 4 or 5 comments saying “well here’s how you could improve.” That’s people JUST WITHIN my own community. If I took them all deep to heart, I’d second guess EVERYTHING I do.

But here’s the think: don’t give a fuck. Just PUT YOURSELF OUT THERE. If you react to EVERYTHING, you’ll FOREVER second guess. You’ll be riddled with FEAR.

The reason I produce so much is NOT because I wanna do my best work, is because I’m COMMITTED to do my work – AS ME. Myself.

If I listened to every piece of feedback I receive – would I be where I am today? Absolutely not.

I open up in this video. It's a longer one than usual.. but TRUST ME. It's deep.

• Don’t question or second guess yourself
• Trust your gut
• Listen to yourself first
• Choose who to bring into your life
• Remember to just show up
• Authenticity for me is getting my message out there – the way it comes out

I’ve been struggling with resisting lately. It’s part of being an artist and creator. It’s interesting. Whenever I go through a phase of deeper resistance – it shows up in all my work. Usually I get fantastic feedback, but sometimes I get schooled: “oh, you’re not following your true path.” Thanks, but DUDE, SERIOUSLY!

It’s part of life. I’m open about it. Not many people are.

See, this is how I do life, business, EVERYTHING. I’m committed to showing up despite the daily resistance, fear, and doubt which comes as an unavoidable part of what we do, who we are, and how we choose to live.

There are periods of my time where everything goes SO GREAT, and sometimes there are periods where everything is like “OH MY GOD, ARGH!”

I’m in one of those periods. And for me, I just put it all out there. I feel it’s important to just put it out there. Regardless of how far down the road you go, it’s DAILY. Resistance is DAILY. Sometimes it’s like quicksand, and sometimes it’s just like swatting a fly aside.

Sometimes it’s okay to be vulnerable. To cry. To let it LOOSE. It’s okay to get emotional. JUST BECAUSE YOU’RE VULNERABLE, does NOT mean you’re screwing it up. LIFE happens.

You’re fucking human, gorgeous.

Remember that.

No matter what you’re going through, just remember: show up. It won’t always go according to plan.

• Life can get hard… keep going
• Resistance is a DAILY practice
• Shit happens, love
• Show up
• Own YOU
• Sometimes it looks like you’re hiding
• Being honest with yourself, and being okay with yourself will allow yourself to get through this period

Today's exercise:

I LOVE MY WORK.

I'm not entertained by things that used to give me mindless entertainment – chick novels, Oprah's interviews, Dr Phil, I'd scroll my Facebook feed. I'd JUST sit.

But lately – I'm not interested in wasting time. For me, I need to be doing something that UPLIFTS my life in some way. Sitting around doing nothing, just sucks.

IT'S BORING DOING NOTHING!

I prefer to fill most of my time with work, or something that improves myself, my family, my business – DOING SOMETHING GOOD.

I'm not saying that downtime is bad, by all means – let go and relax – I used to feel guilty when I did nothing. That was just me though.

But now, most things that entertained me in the past don't entertain me anymore.

I've learnt to fill your downtime with active relaxation, by doing things that uplift me. And that's MUCH more rewarding.

What's made me so successful in business and life is because I do what makes me feel UPLIFTED. I spend my time where it matters most.

• Find things that uplift and rejuvenate your life
• Schedule them in, otherwise you'll never find time
• Let go of resistance – do what your heart calls you to do

EXERCISE:

What's something you can schedule in to uplift and rejuvenate you? Write down three ideas. Whatever comes to mind.

When you've written them down, SCHEDULE THEM! Otherwise you'll NEVER find the time!

When you resist, when you feel overwhelm, or that you're not good enough, this shit will NEVER go away.

It'll always come up. It's part of life. It's not about trying to never have it anymore – it's about UNDERSTANDING these thoughts.

When I get into these thoughts, I become less and less effective. The emotion stops me from performing. I turn into this selfish bitch. I sabotage myself.

Whilst everything is hard for everyone sometimes, I actively try to find ways to push through these thoughts:

Take emotion out of it.

Step back.

How much time can you spend with what you're stressing about? Realistically?

If you say to yourself "Okay, I'll spend an hour on this, and no more," you're ALLOWING yourself to ONLY spend an hour on what's stressing you, before you move on from the day and LET IT GO.

When you let it go, you're letting the EMOTION go. You're stopping the emotion from taking charge!
• Remember, having anxiety and overwhelm is apart of our survival instinct. It's life.
• When you let overwhelm and anxiety take control, you're letting your emotions take charge.
• When emotions take control, you become less and less effective.
• Write down what's on your mind, and understand that your MIND is manufacturing these thoughts.

EXERCISE:
Let go of emotions. Find something that's on your mind. Write it down. Now think – how long will you spend on this today? Create a schedule, do the work, and once you've finished – allow yourself to just BE.

As kids – we REALLY have no fear of failure.

Think about it... how many times would you let your child attempt to walk, until you tell them to stop and just give up?

Never, right?

Yet, as adults – we get it in our head that after the first time, tenth time, thousandth time of something not working, it MUST mean we're no good at it.

NOT TRUE.

There's a difference between something not working for us anymore, and just giving up. The way I've been able to create such a successful business is by focusing on outcomes. Sometimes the path will change, but the outcome will usually stay the same.

Why are you so scared of failure? It's a guideline – a lesson. It's just one more thing that didn't work.

Roll up your sleeves, gorgeous, pick up your chin, and do what a baby does when they fall down: eventually, they just get back up and try again.

Embrace failure.
You will get there.
Keep pushing.

EXERCISE: what are you afraid of failing at? Write it down, and burn it. Then take action.

I've been thinking a lot about letting go.

See, in my life, I notice themes. Some themes take longer than others to let go of. Lately, I've been feeling like I haven't been creating from within.

I've had to learn that creativity isn't a structured process – it's why I get skeptical around"professional" creative courses – WHY should someone TELL me how ot be creative?!

If you're really caught up in what makes success, if you're really caught p in what you think you need to do to generate cashflow, and if it's from a place of fear – HOW WILL YOU LET CREATIVITY FLOW?

For me, if I'm not regularly creating new stuff, it impacts EVERYTHING I do. I turn into a grumpy bitch if I don't create.

EXERCISE: if you're not feeling like yourself, let go. Clear your schedule. Let go of the feeling that you HAVE to do something.

For the next few days, give yourself permission to have space for whatever comes up. For anything. Go for a walk. Journal. Meditate. If you allow yourself to just be – what will need to come up, will.

Creativity is magical. Magic can't be created by following a list.

Sometimes when we hold on to stuff we say we don't want, there's a very real reason for it. Understanding why you deliberately hold yourself back can make it simple to EASILY move forward. Watch today's video to see now!

We jumped on this with the idea to muck around and be a bit silly just have a bit of a laugh and chat about a few things to do with making shitloads of $$$ online and ended up surprising ourselves with a little more profundity than was planned. I want to share with you exactly how I've learned to tap into what will and DOES work, so that I now create completely from the heart and often make as much as tens of thousands of dollars with no launch, no sales page, no stress, nothing but flow and the joy of doing what I'm called to do ... if I've been able to create a business this way, largely by breaking all the rules and being ME, then so too can you.

Using stories to sell WORKS! When people believe in what you're doing and why, to a great extent the 'facts' of what you're selling won't matter.

If you have to push, bribe, punish or cajoles yourself to do the work, is it the work you should be doing? Follow your calling to create true wealth.

So I was thinking about it, and I realised that the thing that REALLY underpins all the awesome ‘stuff’ I’ve achieved? The million dollar biz … the staying in shape as a Mum the wrong side of 35 … the location free life and the VERY many random and crazy ass things I’ve done?

Has nothing at all to do with what I know, or learned, and everything to do with how I think, and who I am.

And that? Is kinda the key to everything.

How you THINK and who you choose to BE dictates what you DO and therefore what you HAVE!

High Converting Launch

Kat covers 3 main steps to discovering your point of alignment and putting it to action to build the life you want.

You can have the kind of life you want because you’re the maker of your life.

Here are some concepts that have changed my life. Whatever you believe is possible, you’ll then act accordingly. Sometimes it’s as simple as allowing yourself to believe something and that will change your life. You are the creator of your life and you can live it on your terms. You have the power to choose how your life pans out.

Anything I look at is the result of my dreams. I’m living a “laptop travel” life with my husband and two young children. If a goal or dream doesn’t play out, it’s because it wasn’t authentic to myself or it wasn’t something that I really wanted.

It’s all a numbers game.

The second thing I learned was that “it’s all just a numbers game.”  Take some time to figure out how many new contacts you get which turns into how many prospects which turns into so many clients. So, back track and think, “If I need so many new clients, how many prospects do I need, and therefore how many contacts do I need?" If you do that, you can figure out how to get however many of whatever you want.

I do most of my business decisions based on intuition, but when it comes to numbers, I can figure out how to get what I want by starting with the right number at the beginning. So for example, I’ve gained 6 kilos (10-12 pounds). I know that if I want to get in shape, I need to exercise a certain amount and eat a certain amount.

Everyone needs reassurance; look for who you can validate

Everyone needs reassurance from time to time. Apparently, I’d gotten in a conversation with an adult who was known to be very successful, when I was younger. As a result, he told my parents that if I ever asked them to invest in any business idea, they should do it without question. It was a simple comment, but it meant a lot. It was validation that I was on the right path. We all need validation. Look for who you can validate. I recently got a Facebook message where a client said that I’d done that for her. A simple comment can mean more than you know.

Don’t wimp out.

In 2008, I was planning on being a part of a national yoga competition. It’s normally for teachers and students at a high level. After a while, I decided to drop out. I just wasn’t at that level. A guy at the gym that I barely knew asked me how I was doing with my training. When I told him that I’d decided to drop out, he told me that I shouldn’t wimp out (actually with stronger words). I was so mad at him. I decided to keep going instead. There are so many things that are scary or big and it’s easy to drop out. I ended up coming in tenth in the whole country. I’ve never been prouder of any other competition than that one. It was a huge deal for me.

I’m special

I’ve often had people say to me that I’m special. I know it’s corny or cliche, but it’s very affirming. I feel that about myself. I feel like I have something to share, something that will affect the world. So, I want to tell you that you are something special. I really encourage you to step outside of your comfort. Live everyday like you mean it. Don’t wimp out. Life is now; “Press Play.”

Today’s episode gives a little insight into my background, my story, and how choosing to have faith against strategy has helped me become successful.

Having faith is one of the most relevant and underrated topics in living a lifestyle you want and creating a successful business. I've been online blogging, writing, and personal training and I chose to believe that it could lead to a life of making money. I knew I wanted to live a “laptop lifestyle,” working from anywhere in the world and spending time with my family. I had the beliefs that motivated me to get there. I learned to live a life on my own terms and believe that it was possible. The first step was to take action.

Take Action  

So many people have ideas, dreams, and visions but nobody ever takes that first step over the threshold to get there. Not bringing those steps to life make you wonder: Is it a belief or just an idea? The truth is, if you believe it, you can achieve it. It’s not possible to envision something that you can’t actually create. If you desire it, then it’s possible. I choose the beliefs that support the reality I want to create, know that the first step is to take action.

Operate from Passion

If you don’t have a passion for what you’re doing you won’t be operating from a place of alignment. The purpose won’t be there and nothing will flow. If you go after goals you are passionate about and beliefs that support them, things become easier. “Easy” doesn’t mean not to continue to work your butt off and give it your all, however things are aligned and you wake up and go to work feeling yourself.  Always know why you’re doing something. If you don’t know the why then things become mundane and that’s when you aren’t operating for YOU. We may know all the strategy and processes but those don’t matter. The one thing that ultimately dictates where you end up is faith or lack of faith.

Faith – Belief in Anything 

It’s not always easy to have faith when something isn’t yet working. There were times in my life when money wasn’t coming in at all, even times when I had 89 cents left in my account. Faith kept me going and my beliefs that things were going to turn around. Faith even seems laughable at times, like how can I believe when things are this bad. However, there is a true distinction between those who choose to believe and the results they see, and the people who choose not to believe. Having faith is completely believing something that you can’t necessarily understand or explain.

Knowing your Purpose

Sometimes you can’t explain the things you feel which causes you to veer away from what your intuition is saying and back towards the practical. The process way just seems easy and maybe you do make money and achieve that way, but that’s only surface level. You’re cheating yourself and even your clients because you are not being the leader you can be. You have to allow yourself to believe that you can achieve.

Don’t do business based on how you think the world wants you to do it. Make the breakthrough and realize it’s not just a battle of the practical. Faith is not something you get, attain, earn, or chase after – faith is something you choose, so choose it right now. There’s no magic process or strategy that guarantees anything. Faith is the guarantee that says your belief is enough and holds strong regardless of what might happen.

Steps to Success

1. Choose Faith – choose it now, wherever you are, whatever you’re doing
2. Define what you desire – don’t hold back and be specific
3. Allow yourself to Receive it – don’t always keep your goal in the future, let it happen now

Repeat after me: "I commit to living on purpose and with passion."

Action taking. Dreaming bigger than big. Making. Shit. Happen. You have one life to live and you must be committed to living with purpose and in pursuit of your passion.

Imagine starting your mornings, willingly and naturally, before the alarm clock even goes off.  Remember that excitement you felt as a kid every Christmas morning?  That feeling that made you leap out of bed and run down the stairs?  You can have that again.  You can have that Christmas-morning-excitement pumping through your veins every day of the year.  The key to it all is to find and pursue that one thing that you're really passionate about and live a life of true purpose and meaning.

But how do you find your passion? And what is purpose?

Finding your passion may be easier than you think.  Our days are filled with required, often mundane, activities - doing the laundry, picking the kids up from school, making breakfasts and lunches and dinners and washing all of the dishes that go along with them - but what is it that you do in those rare, free moments throughout your day or week? Maybe you can't even remember that last time you had a moment to do something for yourself.  In that case, what is it that you think about when your mind wanders off while sitting in traffic or waiting in line at the grocery store?  What is it that consumes your thoughts when the entire world around you drifts away?  Whatever that one thing is that always has the power to pull you away, that is your passion.  Find it and hold on tight.

Purpose is what gets you out of bed every morning.  But more than that, your true purpose is life is that thing, that passion, that energizes you, excites you and inspires you.  You have one life and that life is now.  You have a responsibility to yourself to get everything you can out of this life.  Are you living your life on your own terms or are you living a life dictated by the demands of all of the things that are not serving your true purpose?  Our purpose is life is to share our gifts with the world around us.  To find your passion and purpose is to discover what that gift is and the tools by which you will create a meaningful life that will make a difference in not only your life but the lives of others.  You may have fears, doubts and questions about that purpose but you will still have an inner certainty that fuels you and provides a quiet excitement.

The first step in living everyday with burning passion and true purpose is to carve out the necessary time to discover what that means to you and what that looks like. Start with one hour a day.  It's not about completely ignoring the things you don't want to do - laundry, meal prep, cleaning - it's about finding the time to harness a greater energy and focus on how to leave your mark, follow your calling, and find inner peace.  You cannot cram something into the cracks and crevices of your life.  Stop doing things that don't align with your dreams.  If you don't show the universe that you value yourself to have enough space and time in your life then why should you get to live an incredible life?  You're not even trying.  You're not giving yourself a moment's breath.   In time you will learn to differentiate between the things that you should be doing with your time and the things that you should not.  What is the best use of your free time? What things are distracting you from pursuing your best life?

My purpose in life is to inspire, educate and empower other people, particularly badass women, to figure out what they want from life and how to get it.  How can they live their best life?  Now, let me share my gift with you.
